Frank Murru

Chief Marine Officer, Kerzner International Limited

Mr. Frank Murru joined Kerzner International Limited as the chief marine officer in May 2004. In this newly created position, Murru is responsible for planning, designing and managing the Company's marine habitats, interactive marine animal experiences and aquatic-themed attractions. Murru will play an integral role in the planned expansion projects: Phase III of Atlantis, Paradise Island and Atlantis, The Palm. Prior to joining the Kerzner, Murru was vice president and general manager of Discovery Cove, an exclusive, reservations-only water theme park that is adjacent to Sea World in Orlando, Florida. Discovery Cove and Sea World are owned by Anheuser Busch, Inc. Murru was involved in the development of Discovery Cove, and for the past six years, has managed this water theme park.

Murru has an extensive background in water park operations and theme parks as well as an intimate background in zoology and marine habitats. He is an active member of the American Association of Zoological Parks and Aquariums and has served as an advisory board member for Gulf of Mexico Fisheries Management Council. He has authored more than 40 scientific papers on topics ranging from aquarium procedures to fish hematology to the feeding and reproduction of sharks, and is a former member of the board of directors of the American Elasmobranch Society (devoted to the study of sharks and related marine life), for which he served as president in 1992-93. Murru started his career in 1974 at the prestigious John G. Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. He is a member of the Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks and Aquariums, American Fisheries Society, American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists and International Association of Aquatic Animal Medicine. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Bowling Green State University and a master of business administration from the University of Central Florida.

Murru is actively involved in numerous professional organizations including and with a number of community organizations including Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute.

Murru holds a B.S. degree in Biology from Bowling Green State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Central Florida.
